About Us
We are a group of sailors, mostly in trailerable sailboats, from the US and Canada that has been cruising the North Channel annually for more than 35 years. We have enjoyed the camaraderie of sailors of all ages, from just about every state in the US and multiple Canadian provinces.
In 2014, our group was featured in an article by Ralph Folsom and Pixie Haughwout in Cruising World Magazine.
Purpose
To provide information about cruising the North Channel of Lake Huron in a trailerable sailboat and to encourage sailors of all experience levels to try it by joining a flotilla with many years of experience.
Coordinate an annual summer cruise in the North Channel of Lake Huron, which is regarded as one of the best fresh water cruising grounds on the planet. Crystal clear protected waters, safe anchorages everywhere and unspoiled wilderness offer the ultimate escape!
Host a small Facebook Group where participants can share notes and photos about their sailing and cruising experiences with our group in the North Channel and nearby Great Lakes cruising areas. This is also a good place for those planning the trip with us to ask questions.
Host a larger Facebook Group for general trailer sailor topics. Many of our North Channel group members also follow and respond to questions in this group.
